After passing M.A.[Sanskrit] and LL.B., Shri P K Bansal got selected to the Indian Police Service in 1963 through the All India competition conducted by the U.P.S.C. He has served in Gujarat as Superintendent of Police, Commissioner of Police, Head of State Intelligence and State CID Crime. He rose to become Director General of Police. He was awarded Police Medal by The President of India in 1995 for long and meritorious service in the Police Department.He retired in1997 and is settled in Ahmedabad. He always helped the poor and common man in Police matters while in service and continues to do so even after retirement. It is his passion. He is highly unassuming, humble and social and ready to help anybody approaching him. As President of APCA for last 17 years , he has been instrumental in its tremendous development and effectiveness as an unique and active social organization of Agrawals - well known in the State as well as national level. He has been unanimously elected as the President of Gujarat Pradesh Agrawal Mahasabha to lead and advise direction to all Agrawal Samaj of Gujarat. |
